Mental Health Awareness (MHA)

Suitable For:

  • All staff members who want to increase their awareness of Mental Health for themselves or to support others

The Mental Capacity Act (MCA) 2005, the Human Rights Act 1998, the Equality Act 2010, The Mental Health (Discrimination) Act 2013, The Health & Social Care Act 2012, The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and the Management of Health and Safety Regulations 1999 dovetail together to ensure that employers have a duty of care to do all they can reasonably do to support the health, safety, and well-being of their employees.

Not all employers realise that the law requires them to assess the risk of work-related stress
and take action based on their findings.
